TECHDRIVE convertitore statico trifase

TECHDRIVE

Family of static analog converters

The Techdrive series of static converters (Analog Technology Thyristor Variable Speed DC Drive) bidirectional, 4-quadrant, regenerative, are designed to control the armature with variable voltage of DC motors in both directions.

They are able to provide voltages and currents of both polarities and can receive energy from the load and introduce it to the network.

Converters in this series cover a wide range of applications in different industries and the range of powers extends from a few Kw to approximately 750 Kw.
They are characterised by their circuit simplicity, application versatility, reduced size and both static and dynamic performance.

The use of power devices (SCR) with pack and disc modules, enabled an effective optimization of various sizes; the choice, however, of control circuits with highly integrated functions, has resulted in a decidedly cutting edge product, easy to use, with constant performance and high reliability.

Regulation and control circuits are galvanically isolated from power circuits, while the interface to and from the plant, is accomplished via reed relays which, being fed with autonomous voltage, give the converter a high immunity against disturbances. External commands can come from voltage free contacts or directly from the PLC.

  • AC/DC single phase static converters with analog technology
  • 2/4 quadrants for DC motors
  • Powers ranging between 5 kw and 500 kw

J-DRIVE

Family of static single phase converters

J-Drive series converters are designed to cover a wide range of drives for single-phase DC motors in a wide range of industrial applications.
They are characterised by their circuit simplicity, application versatility, reduced size and very low cost.

In addition to the variable speed control of DC motors both in armature voltage (galvanic insulation), and with tachometric transducer, the J-Drive converters are applied in the excitation control of machines in WARD-LEONARD systems and in the excitation control of motors operating with constant power.

Converters are contained within finely painted sheet modules.
The control board is mounted on the inside of the front cover; on the outside you can see the LEDs of POWER ON, RUN and TPMI-TPMII direction.
Control electronics allows simultaneous and continuous adjustment of motor parameters, allowing excellent static and dynamic performance.

  • Single-phase SCR static AC/DC converters for DC motors
  • Single phase controlled AC/DC rectifiers for static exciters
  • Single-phase controlled AC/DC splitters for heaters, lamps and other applications

LEGOSYSTEM

Special modules for automation

We design and build special modules for automation, Legosystem series. It is about modular units, used mainly in revamping of obsolete machinery and equipment. These modular units are designed to make adjustments, controls and connections between variable speed drives.

AC Drive series converters (Alternating Current Drive) enable to regulate the speed of rotation of three-phase asynchronous motors in both directions.
Converters in this series cover a wide range of applications in different industries and the range of powers extends from a few Kw to approximately 170 Kw.
They are characterised by their circuit simplicity, application versatility, reduced size and both static and dynamic performance.

SOFTDRIVE

The Softdrive Converter is a completely static electronic device that is able, through a modulation of the output voltage, to gradually start asynchronous three-phase motors according to the operational needs of the machines powered by them.
This device is widely used for the soft start of motors for pumps, fans, mixers, pulp mills, fabric tearing machines, ceramics mills, bottle filling machines, industrial cleaning machines, amusement park rides, cable-making machines stranding machines. It can be inserted into existing systems very easily. It is particularly useful and effective, thanks to the gradual power consumption, to be introduced in systems powered by generators.

There are several benefits resulting from the Softdrive´s application:

  • Energy saving due to reduction of power spikes, especially with frequent starts of large flywheel masses
  • Elimination of hydraulic couplings
  • Elimination of resistance, reactance, autotransformer starters, not very finely adjustable and power dissipating
  • Elimination of water hammer in pipes and of pressure oscillations in water treatment plants
  • Longer life of mechanical parts (gear units, couplings, transmission shafts, etc.) for the least dynamic stress of starting
  • Possibility of sequential starting of several motors also with different power (multi – starter)
  • No change to substantial plant installations in existing single-motor systems
  • Also intrinsic possibility of soft stoppage

STATORDRIVE

The static ac/ac power units Statordrive convertors belong to the category of phase controlled converters that employ controlled diodes (SCR or Thyristor) for the conversion of the alternating voltage of a three-phase line with an effective value varying from zero to maximum value.
The configuration with 10 semiconductor elements allows a fine and precise control of the motor speed in the four quadrants of the speed-torque plane.
Reversibility is achieved through the static inversion of two phases of the motor power supply under the constant control of the regulator that modulates the transfer of power from the network to the motor in order to set a law of variation for the gradual and precise speed.
The control of each of the phases of power supply through anti-parallel-connected SCR pairs, allows strictly symmetrical tension splitting therefore with a definitely null average value.
Modular construction makes these converters extremely versatile and easily adaptable to existing plants.
Their electronic parts are equipped with led display and measurement test-points offering a smooth and accurate instrumental survey on the effectiveness of regulators.
A very important feature of this series is the rule adopted for all adjustment trimmers: their clockwise rotation always acts in the sense of determining an “increase” of the adjusted variable regarding current, voltage, speed, gain, ramp time, reference level, etc.
The control system provides for a speed reference programmer, a ramp generator, a speed controller, a pilot amplifier for each running channel and a tachometric generator mounted on the crankshaft that gives a signal proportional to the speed creating a perfectly stable closed loop.
