The enterprise that believes in young people
A possible present, a desirable future
“Believing in young people” is one of those phrases that in our company is not just a figure of speech.
On Wednesday, May 29, 2019 , the company INTECH s.r.l. donated to the Alberghetti Industrial Technical Institute in Imola a “teaching bench” for the laboratory of the industrial electronics address, which will allow them to test in practice what they learned in class.
The initiative stems from the company’s desire to promote and strengthen the relationship between the world of work and school and believe in young people. “The process of training in high schools will soon lead our young people to become the workers, laborers and professionals who will lead the companies of the territory and the Italian economy; they are the hope and the guarantee of tomorrow,” he said. “Aware of this challenge, it seemed particularly interesting to us to get involved in the first person. To open a concrete window on the industrial automation sector by stimulating students with practical applications.”
The teaching bench we have designed is an equipment consisting of an electronic control panel operated by a programmable PLC that acts on the control of 3 industrial electric motors of which 2 are direct current (DC DRIVES) and one is alternating current (INVERTER).
The teaching bench is accompanied by an operating manual prepared by our technical department which contains 5 experimental exercises to enable pupils to familiarize themselves with the concepts of “variable speed regulation,” “static power conversion,” and “variable speed power supply.”
This tool will enable students to approach mechatronics through hands-on experiences in the laboratory by facilitating them in learning the topics covered by the classroom teacher on electronic controls.
“Designing this equipment and writing the educational programs took over a year for several members of the company who worked in the spare time between jobs,” says Valter Boldrini (Intech Partner).
“Everyone is interested in the value of this instrumentation, certainly between the materials and the professionalism involved in its realization it comes to a few tens of thousands of euros, but I personally believe that the main value is in the opportunity granted to young students to deal with a discipline that facilitates future employment through concrete and professional tools,” says Stefania Farolfi (Intech President).
The handover of the equipment took place inside the laboratory in the presence of the school principal Dr. Vanna Maria Monducci, Prof. Sanguedolce and Prof. Salvatori in front of a large representation of very interested students.
